Originally constructed in 1971 as a weekend house perched on the edge of a 40 degree sloped hill, this home with breathtaking views of the San Francisco bay had been remolded in 2014 with zero consideration for the original architecture.
Our goal was to transform the existing structure to accommodate the programming of modern full-time residence with the addition of a dedicated formal entry, staircase and master suite.
Taking inspiration from the original architecture and surrounding landscape, we aimed to create a structure that would blend in with the foliage from the street and once inside create a sense of oneness with nature.
